Why people pick KeepBudget

A free plan you can actually live in

Spendee’s free tier is one cash wallet and one budget. KeepBudget’s adds a recurring rule, a savings goal, an income goal and unlimited transactions — a complete starter setup.

Your whole net worth, not just spending

Cash, bank, cards, crypto and stocks in one dashboard, converted at live rates. If your money is more than a checking account, KeepBudget was built for that.

Arabic, properly

Complete Arabic UI with real right-to-left layout — plus your preferred number and date formats everywhere, exports included.

Where Spendee is genuinely better

  • Bank sync with many European banks — if automatic imports matter more to you than avoiding bank logins, that’s Spendee’s edge.
  • Its Plus tier is cheap: $14.99/year gets unlimited wallets and budgets with sharing, undercutting KeepBudget Pro on pure price.
  • It’s been around longer, with mature native mobile apps.

Switching from Spendee takes minutes

1

Export from Spendee

In Spendee: More → Export, set Period to “All History”, then Export Data. It emails you one file per wallet.

2

Drop them all in

KeepBudget has a built-in Spendee importer — add every file at once and your wallets, transactions, categories and labels are created for you. No column mapping.

3

Set your budgets

Your history is already there, so you go straight to budgets, goals and recurring bills — then it runs itself.

KeepBudget vs Spendee — quick answers

Is KeepBudget a good Spendee alternative?

Yes, especially if you want a fuller free plan, crypto and stock tracking, Arabic support, or budgeting without connecting a bank. If European bank sync is your must-have, Spendee keeps that advantage.

Which is cheaper — KeepBudget or Spendee?

Both have free plans; KeepBudget’s includes more (recurring, savings goal, income goal, unlimited transactions). On paid tiers Spendee Plus is cheaper at $14.99/year, KeepBudget Pro is $39/year, and Spendee Premium is $35.99/year — compare what each actually unlocks.

Can I import my Spendee data into KeepBudget?

Yes, and there is a purpose-built importer for it. Export every wallet from Spendee (More → Export, Period = All History) and drop the files it emails you into KeepBudget together — wallets, transactions and categories are created for you, and Spendee labels become KeepBudget tags. Income and expenses come across; transfers between your own wallets do not, because a Spendee export never records which wallet the money moved to or from. It works on every plan, including free.

Does KeepBudget sync with banks like Spendee?

No — by design. You log or import transactions yourself, so no bank credentials ever leave your hands, and the app works with every bank in every country.
